Magnetic separation & management
GSW recovers all metallic from the slag processed. GSW has set up state of the art 1000 tph slag processing plant in Galati, Romania & a 500 tph slag processing plant each in Temirtau, Kazakhstan & Hunedoara, Romania. We use top of the line magnets, screens, crushers, conveyors etc to achieve the best results.
We make sure that the slag after separation is 99% iron free. This means that we recover almost 100% Fe that is inside the slag & supply it back to the steel shops. The following metallic can be obtained:
Scrap size 0-15 mm – minimum Fe content 50%
Scrap size 15-90 mm – minimum Fe content 60%
Scrap size 90- 300 mm – minimum Fe content 70%
Recently GSW has undertaken the operation & maintenance of running the slag processing plant in Tata Steel Kalinganagar, Odhisa since June’22.
The sizes of these recovered metallic can be changed as per the customer needs.
